I’d almost forgotten my dancing days at the Limelight until I saw your story! No, I have better taste than to dance in a towel, but I do remember going a few times with friends to disco dance or whatever it really was. I loved the huge dance floor and loud music. I don’t remember anything underneath the dance floor and certainly not any illegal drug use. I stuck with my girlfriends and a rum and coke. I guess I was in high school when I danced there, because I graduated in 1985. Now that I can favorably reflect on some of my younger antics, I agree that a Netflix series of the Old Atlanta and Buckhead is in order. Great writing as always, and thanks for trip back in time to the Limelight!
