Jay, had the Garbage Burger at McGuire's in Destin or Pensacola?

Also, Mulligan's is closed? Went there once. They had Playboy's on the bar. It was an interesting place a d a good burger, much like the Rusty Nail was.

Gotta love anything called a "garbage burger."

Mulligan's has been closed since before the pandemic, I think. And the Playboys on the bar sounds right -- commandments were broken at that joint every night.

I had a version of the Luther Burger at the Carolina Classic Fair in Winston-Salem last year. My God was it glorious and absolutely no regrets. It helps that Krispy Kreme donuts are from Winston-Slaem too.

Any time the word "fair" gets involved you know you're in for some good eatin'. Hats off to you, sir.

Hey Jay! I’m headed to Charleston SC next week for a few days. Any recs on can’t miss food there?

Oh man ... so so many. BBQ, there's Home Team and Rodney Scott's -- both are starting to franchise out, but it's because they're so good. Seafood, go with Chubby Fish. Down-home cooking, go with Hannibal's Kitchen. If you can get out to Isle of Palms, do it -- pretty beach-y level food there -- it looks like my old favorite, One-Eyed Parrot, is gone but it's a nice place to hang with a cold beer and some oysters.

Now you've got me wanting to go back there. Let me know where you end up!

Hey Jay! Thanks for your suggestions! Isle of Palms was great! Line was out the wazoo at Home Team and couldn’t get a reservation at Chubby Fish so we ended up getting seafood at Hyman’s and oysters at the Oyster House. Found a little gem in Mt. Pleasant you need to try next time you’re there. Page’s Okra Grill. We had Fried Green Tomatoes and Crab Cakes then I pounded the Chicken and Waffles BLT Sandwich with a bowl of Crab Bacon Chowder and a side of their signature fried okra. Topped it off with some house made Banana Pudding. I gained at least 10 pounds this trip, but God, was it worth it.

I agree that stunt food is more fun to discuss than digest but I have also witnessed a lot of poor culinary decisions with “regular” food. I personally witnessed an average sized man eat two Homewrecker burritos from Moe’s on a dare which doesn’t sound like much but tell him that. Maybe this is minor league, overeating our daily bread (or tortilla wrap), and is merely a gateway guzzle to the stunt world. But as long as there is an ample supply of Tums and Imodium at Walgreens, I imagine we’ll have the stunt and “safe” choices in which to dive. God bless America…

Mother of God, I got the Homewrecker once. ONCE. That was enough for me, forever.

A few years back in Vegas, some casino offered you a ride on one of the rollercoasters if you ate their six-pound burrito. Six pounds! That's the size of a baby!
